The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has partnered up with Beyon to further promote road safety in Bahrain.
Beyon Solutions will provide the General Directorate of Traffic with 500 smart cameras as part of a fully integrated system boasting the latest AI technologies to monitor traffic as well as to help modernise infrastructure and improve discipline.
This new step will surely complement the new laws that enforce tougher penalties, including fines and imprisonment, for different traffic violations, including using your phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt, and even racing on the road.
Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company and Chairman of Beyon, expressed the Group’s pride and appreciation for the Ministry of Interior’s confidence in Beyon’s capabilities and its role in supporting the Ministry’s efforts to adopt the most advanced systems.
“The integrated monitoring system incorporates advanced AI-based solutions with the ability to self-learn and evolve, providing highly accurate data that enables proactive measures,” he shared. “Beyon Solutions is committed to providing the highest levels of support throughout all phases of the project’s implementation, in line with the set objectives to deliver the best possible outcomes. This partnership reflects the company’s approach to supporting national efforts in achieving Bahrain’s Vision 2030, while reinforcing the kingdom’s position as a leading regional hub for digital transformation and artificial intelligence.”
The agreement was signed by HE Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, and HE Shaikh Abdulla, at the Ministry’s headquarters. The signing ceremony was attended by HE Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, MOI and Chairman of the General Traffic Council, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
